The heartland of the state, central Wisconsin is home to some of the most beautiful stretches of the mighty Wisconsin River. At the southern end is the world famous Wisconsin Dells with miles of spectacular rock formations and a multitude of water parks and activities. Further upriver are two of the largest lakes in Wisconsin. Castle Rock Lake ranks fourth at 26 square miles and Lake Petenwell ranks second at 36 square miles. Both lakes are rated among the top in the state for fishing - providing Walleye, Northern, Bass, and a variety of pan fish.
